Travel documents
- All participants under 14 must be in possession of the Unaccompained Minor Declaration, to be requested before the departure online or at the Police Station and to be attached to the identity document.
China
- Individual passport is required with a remaining validity of at least 30 days after the date of exit from China and which has at least 2 blank pages in the Visa section. Visa is required.
Non-Italian citizens
- Individual passport is required with a remaining validity of at least 30 days after the date of exit from the country and which has at least 2 blank pages in the Visa section. Visa is required.
Health Certificates
- All participants will have to make sure that they are provided with vaccination certificates and health certificates if required by the country of destination. We suggest you to bring a copy of the summary card of the vaccinations made. Participants with serious health problems, severe allergies and food intolerances or for those who must constantly take medication during their stay abroad, need to bring a medical certificate to be provided before departure. The acceptance of students with serious illness or suffering from motor difficulties may not be guaranteed, as some facilities are not suitable for hosting students who are not completely self-sufficient. In some cases, the presence of a tutor may be required, the cost of which is to be borne by the student's family. For any missing reports ETN can not be held responsible for possible early repatriations decided by the service providers and the additional costs will be entirely borne by the participant.
Group and accompanying person
- The summer camp takes place with an accompanying person who stays with the group. In some cases, the group is preorganized, as it is made up of students from the same school or from the same area, while in other cases it is created by ETN with groups of students from different cities. The age of students belonging to a group can be homogeneous, but there may also be groups made up of students of different ages.
Dates
- The dates of the Young Marco Polo summer camp could undergo slight variations due to the availability of flights. It is therefore recommended not to make any committments in the days before and after the departure and return dates.
Transfers
- The costs involved in the transfer to and from the airport are borne by the participant.
Airplane flight
- We only use scheduled airlines for the journey, generally providing direct flights. On the most requested dates or from smaller airports we may have to also use flights with a stopover. The trip must be made with the same group both on the outward and on the return journey. If a one-way or return-only route is not used, it will not be possible to obtain reimbursements. Remember that flying in the summer can be a source of discomfort even with scheduled flights: for the large number of travelers, for accurate checks and also for strikes or loss of luggage. For this reason we recommend that you always present yourself at the airport on time and to include in your carry-on baggage a complete change of clothes to meet every eventuality, even that of arriving without a suitcase. Even in this case you will not have to worry because your group leader will take care of the loss report to speed up the time of recovery and redelivery.
Transfers abroad
- All included in the package and always with private means of transport.
Early return
- The participant who anticipates the return for personal, family, nostalgia, disciplinary or other reasons, will not be entitled to the reimbursement of the stay and the expenses for the early return will be entirely at their charge. The only exception is the early return due to health problems, in which case the reimbursement will be made under the insurance policy stipulated before departure.
Return
- Once landed, the group leader will help you collect your baggage and return it to your parents who are waiting for you at the Arrivals. Do not worry, if parents are late your team leader will contact them and stay with you until they arrive. Only at this moment your experience can be considered completed.

How to register

- It is essential to fill in all the required fields, paying particular attention to the "health problems" section. After having read carefully the General Conditions, it is necessary to affix 2 signatures of both parents for acceptance or 2 signatures of the student, only if they are of legal age.
The deposit
- To finalize the registration it is necessary to pay a deposit to ETN of Euro 650
- The deposit can be paid in one of the following ways:
- Paypal
- Bank transfer
The balance
- It must be done at least 4 weeks before departure. The methods of payment of the balance are the same as those for the deposit. In the case of payment by bank transfer, please send us by e-mail a copy of the bank transfer, showing the name and surname of the participant and the reason "Marco Polo".
The invoice
- It is issued upon receipt of the balance payable to the participant. If a different header is requested, it will be necessary to provide the complete details of the new holder and any VAT number during registration. The fee includes: Flight round trip, language course, afternoon and evening activities and trips, host family accommodation in Shanghai and hotel accommodation in Beijing, full board treatment, local transport, accompanying person.
Cancellation
- If the participant intends to cancel the trip, they must communicate their intention to ETN by registered mail or telegram, PEC or Fax (the date of receipt shall prevail). The following conditions will be applied:
- Cancellation by May 15th: No penalty. The entire amount will be reimbursed reduced by the existing expenses already incurred.
- Cancellation up to 45 days before departure: 70% will be reimbursed, reduced by any existing expenses already incurred.
- Cancellation up to 31 days before departure: 50% will be reimbursed reduced by any existing expenses already incurred.
- Cancellation up to 21 days before departure: 30% will be reimbursed reduced by any existing expenses already incurred.
- Cancellation up to 5 days before departure: 5% will be reimbursed.
- No refunds after these deadlines and in the event of no-show at the departure, inaccuracy of the personal documentation of expatriation or renunciation in the course of travel.
