Drama is originally from ancient Greece, at the very most, it is a form of artistic expression. In the 18th century, Rousseau, the French romantic writer, mentioned two concepts, “Learning by doing” and “Learning by dramatic doing”, which started the use of drama as a tool to educate.

In the past 20 years, our Art Director Ms. Marianna L’Amico hosts this drama camp every year. Each year, she has 13 workshops for more than 250 students.

Why you should choose Felicita?

The laboratory aims to improve personal development through drama practices to help enhance the participants. This is done by implementing a process of growth for both the individual and the group, based on increasing self-esteem, self-efficacy and self-determination to make hidden talents emerge so as to lead people to consciously increase their potential (what we call empowerment). The methodology includes the teachings of theatre, clown, mime, street arts, bodily expressiveness and creative theatre.

job

The workshop FELICITA’ wants to validate participants by highlighting, strengthening and developing:

  • their talents;
  • their personal growth ;
  • their artistic growth through the acquisition of techniques and methods of theatre (specifically street theatre, clown, mime, magic, song, rhythm, juggling);
  • their growth in the community; because the tools received become part of a profound experience that the person can integrate into everyday life when in contact with others.
  • work

    FELICITA’ is a special space (physically and mentally) where participants, before being the main show, feel themselves and a protagonists of their own lives. The main purpose of the FELICITA experience is to promote joy, encourage a search for well-being, accepting oneself without fear;"doing theatre" through the inclusiveness, cooperation, and care of emotions, during the path of personal care that will become common practice. This cheerful and exciting journey will take place in the spirit of the GAME (theatrical, rhythmic, cooperative, education to peace, clown) and ensure a collective good mood!
